Old asbestos roofing becomes a risk when it is damaged or disturbed, because asbestos fibres are harmful if breathed in. Our trained team removes asbestos roofing sheets in a controlled way that protects the people in and around your building. We also handle other asbestos materials, for example asbestos ceilings and pipes.
Please do not try to remove or break up asbestos yourself. Call or WhatsApp us and we will advise you.
Before we start
We visit your site, look at the roof or the material to be removed, agree the work with you and give you a quote. The site inspection and quote are free. For every job we then prepare a written removal plan: how the waste will be contained, stored on site, transported and disposed of.
Keeping your site safe
- The work area is taped off and marked with asbestos warning signs, so nobody walks in by accident.
- The sheets are kept wet throughout the work, with water or a PVA solution, to hold down dust.
- Sheets are taken down carefully and lowered by hand, never dropped or broken up.
- Every piece is double-wrapped in heavy plastic sheeting (500 to 1,000 micron), sealed and labelled before it leaves your site.
Protecting our team and your people
Our crew work in full protective equipment: coveralls, respirators, helmets, gloves and safety boots.
A decontamination unit with showers is set up near the work area, so no asbestos dust leaves the site on clothing or skin.
Our staff are trained in Hazardous Substances (Asbestos Handling Safety), First Aid and Working at Heights by Chase Safety Solutions Limited (approval no. OSH/BT 131).
After removal
The wrapped waste is taken by our own team and vehicles to our NEMA-licensed disposal site in Kaloleni, Kilifi County. We can then fit your new roof, so one team handles the whole job.
